The Rawhide Fire of 1908

On September 4th, 1908 the boom camp of Rawhide Nevada suffered a devastating fire caused by a misplaced tinder box in an oil-burning stove located in an "hotel".   Thanks to Clint Maish we can now share these historic pictures,  never displayed in public until now! Clint is a foremost expert on Nevada mining and boom camps with close ties to Nevada's colorful past.
